Client Overview:

Our client, an established Latin American international financial services firm, is seeking a temp-to-perm Bilingual Receptionist (Portuguese/English) for their NYC office.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$25/hr

Position Overview:

The Bilingual Receptionist (Portuguese/English) role involves front-office duties, supporting international coordination, and maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Responsibilities of the Bilingual Receptionist (Portuguese/English):

  • Greet all incoming guests and ensure a positive image of the firm.
  • Coordinate video conferences and meeting requests with international receptionists.
  • Maintain conference room calendar with accurate meeting details, time zones, participants, and special requests.
  • Answer main phone lines.
  • Coordinate with internal departments for smooth onsite client events.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of conference rooms and kitchen areas.
  • Set up and clean up meeting rooms, including catering arrangements.
  • Assist janitorial staff with restocking pantry and supply rooms.
  • Organize shipping and messenger services.
  • Print and bind presentations.
  • Provide beverages to guests.
  • Facilitate and troubleshoot video conference connections.
  • Provide backup reception coverage for other office locations.
  • Ensure the reception area is impeccably maintained.
  • Properly route mail and deliveries, logging incoming mail per compliance requirements.
  • Maintain inventory of office and pantry supplies.
  • Assist Corporate Services with office-related issues.
  • Liaise with building security for guest check-in and ID card procurement.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment issues.
  • Provide administrative support to various departments as needed.
