Our client, a long-established home appliance distributor, is seeking a Call Center Representative to support their reputation as a reliable equipment solutions provider in Union, NJ.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$18/hr
Position Overview:
The Call Center Representative will manage high-volume inbound calls, support work order processes, and coordinate with field and sales teams.
Responsibilities of the Call Center Representative:
- Handle 80 – 100 inbound calls daily.
- Create, update, and close work orders.
- Assign daily work orders to technicians.
- Adjust technician queues as needed.
- Review equipment history for accuracy.
- Communicate with field technicians.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Installation teams.
- Process refunds efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and transactions.
- Resolve customer complaints and de-escalate situations.
- Recommend improvements in service and procedures.
Required Experience/Skills for the Call Center Representative:
- High-volume call center experience.
- Multitasking abilities.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal communication.
- Professional phone presence.
- Ability to remain calm and de-escalate situations.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Call Center Representative:
- Experience coordinating with multiple departments.
- Familiarity with work order management systems.
- Prior exposure to technical service environments.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
