Client Overview:

Our client provides Affordable Housing across the United States and is seeking a Director of Property Management to join their team. The Director of Property Management will oversee properties in Southern States. Extensive travel is required.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$130k – $140k

Position Overview:

The Director of Property Management is responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned properties under the guidance of the VP of Management.

Responsibilities of the Director of Property Management:

  • Review and enforce company policies and procedures for determining household eligibility for federal, state, and local funded affordable housing programs.
  • Plan and conduct training for site personnel on Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Tax Exempt Bonds, HUD 202, PRAC, and RAD/PRAC regulations.
  • Review rents, utility allowances, household annual income, published maximum program rent, and income limits to ensure ongoing compliance with all program regulations.
  • Review monthly financial statements with property managers and assist with preparing monthly budget variance reports.

Required Experience/Skills for the Director of Property Management:

  • COS – Certified Occupancy Specialist certification.
  • Experience managing multiple communities.
  • 8+ years of experience working in affordable housing programs including three or more of the following: HUD, PRAC, LIHTC, Section 8, and HOME.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Director of Property Management:

  • Experience managing multiple communities.
  • 8+ years of experience working in affordable housing programs including all of the following: HUD, PRAC, LIHTC, Section 8, and HOME.
  • Experience managing senior living or affordable housing communities.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
