Client Overview:

Our client is a rapidly growing luxury products company known for high-quality design, ethical sourcing, and a strong commitment to both customer experience and employee development. Currently, they are looking to add an IT Infrastructure and Cloud Technician to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$80k – $85k

Position Overview:

The IT Infrastructure and Cloud Technician is responsible for providing advanced technical support, resolving escalated issues, and maintaining the performance and stability of key systems across virtualization, cloud, and collaboration platforms. This role also supports small to mid-sized IT projects and works closely with cross-functional teams to improve infrastructure, security, and overall IT operations.

Responsibilities of the IT Infrastructure and Cloud Technician:

  • Provide Tier 2 technical support for escalated hardware, software, and infrastructure issues.
  • Manage and maintain VMware environments, including provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting virtual machines.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services such as Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Support SharePoint architecture, permissions, site collections, document libraries, and workflows.
  • Monitor and maintain Azure resources, including virtual machines, storage, and network security groups.
  • Assist with identity and access management through Azure Active Directory.
  • Help ensure compliance with IT security policies and support vulnerability remediation efforts.
  • Monitor Azure environments for security, performance, availability, and cost optimization.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  • Track project milestones, maintain documentation, and communicate progress to stakeholders.
  • Partner with Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams to support successful project delivery.

Required Experience/Skills for the IT Infrastructure and Cloud Technician:

  • 3+ years of IT support experience with strong Tier 2 troubleshooting skills.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, vCenter, and virtual infrastructure management.
  • Strong experience supporting Microsoft 365, especially SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and Teams.
  • Experience supporting Azure environments, including Azure VMs, Azure AD, and basic networking/security configurations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Knowledge of IT project management principles with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the IT Infrastructure and Cloud Technician:

  • Experience with scripting tools such as PowerShell or Azure CLI.
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based ticketing systems and change management processes.
  • Experience supporting cloud infrastructure performance optimization and security best practices.
  • Prior involvement in small to mid-scale IT infrastructure projects.

Education Requirements:

  • Relevant education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent hands-on technical experience will also be considered.
