Our client is a leading real estate development and property management firm with a strong presence across New York City. They are seeking a Leasing Administrative Assistant professional to support their leasing office and tenant relations.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$24/hr – 26/hr
Position Overview:
The Leasing Administrative Assistant role is a key administrative position supporting leasing operations for a new residential development. This Leasing Administrative Assistant will assist with applicant processing, documentation review, and general administrative coordination to ensure a smooth and efficient lease process. The Leasing Administrative Support role will initially be based in Queens.
Responsibilities of the Leasing Administrative Assistant:
- Review and organize applicant documentation to support leasing and approval processes.
- Conduct detailed file checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of applications.
- Communicate with applicants regarding missing documentation or required updates.
- Maintain organized tracking systems for application status and follow-ups.
- Provide general administrative support to leasing and operations teams.
- Assist in coordinating appointments, showings, and applicant inquiries as needed.
- Support reporting efforts by tracking application volume and timelines.
- Prepare and maintain digital and physical files for internal use and compliance.
- Assist with general office coordination and day-to-day administrative tasks.
Required Experience/Skills for the Leasing Administrative Assistant:
- Previous administrative or office support experience, ideally within real estate or property management.
- Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Leasing Administrative Assistant:
- Experience in real estate, leasing, or property management environments.
- Exposure to lease-up processes or high-volume administrative workflows.
- Customer-facing experience or experience supporting client communications.
- Familiarity with document management and tracking systems.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma is required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
