Client Overview:

Our client is a professional property management organization overseeing a diverse commercial real estate portfolio, including office and industrial assets. The company is committed to maximizing asset value, maintaining high operational standards, and delivering exceptional service to tenants and ownership. They foster a collaborative, results-driven environment with a strong emphasis on accountability and professionalism. They are currently looking to add a Property Manager to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$80k – $95k

Position Overview:

The Property Manager is responsible for the overall daily oversight and operations of an assigned commercial property portfolio. This role focuses on streamlining property management functions, ensuring compliance with lease and legal requirements, optimizing financial performance, and promoting tenant satisfaction. The Property Manager serves as a key liaison between ownership, tenants, vendors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities of the Property Manager:

  • Oversee daily operations of assigned commercial properties, including tenant relations, maintenance, repairs, and emergencies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, leasing agents, vendors, and contractors.
  • Conduct regular property inspections and ensure compliance with lease, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and monitor vendor services, contracts, and capital or tenant improvement projects.
  • Assist with rent collection, receivables, expense tracking, and invoice approval.
  • Prepare and manage annual property budgets and explain financial variances.
  • Produce monthly property management and performance reports for ownership.
  • Maintain accurate tenant, vendor, insurance, and property documentation.
  • Support tenant move-ins/move-outs, vacant unit showings, and property security.
  • Attend onsite meetings and perform additional duties as required.

Required Experience/Skills for the Property Manager:

  • Proven experience in commercial property management. 
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and perform under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working with property management software (Yardi is required).
  • Ability to manage service and leasing contracts and enforce lease compliance.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Property Manager:

  • Office or industrial property management experience is preferred.
  • Experience overseeing vendors, contractors, and on-site personnel.
  • Enhanced negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Experience in preparing monthly management reports for ownership.
  • Familiarity with tenant improvement tracking and capital projects.
  • Background in performance management and goal setting.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
