Client Overview:

Our client is a growing pharmaceutical organization focused on developing and delivering innovative therapeutics, with a strong commitment to quality, compliance, and scientific excellence. They are looking to add a Quality Control Microbiologist to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$40/hr – $45/hr, Depending on experience

Position Overview:

The Quality Control Microbiologist will support microbiology testing and quality control operations in a GMP-regulated environment. This role is part of the weekend team and is responsible for executing lab testing, supporting investigations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities of the Quality Control Microbiologist:

  • The Quality Control Microbiologist will perform microbiological testing, including bioburden, endotoxin, and environmental monitoring.
  • Support in-process and release testing, as well as method transfers.
  • Follow aseptic technique and GMP requirements.
  • Review and document data accurately and on time.
  • Assist with lab maintenance, sample prep, and inventory.
  • Support SOP updates, investigations, and audit readiness.

Required Experience/Skills for the Quality Control Microbiologist:

  • The Quality Control Microbiologist must have GMP experience.
  • 4 – 8 years of QC lab experience or equivalent.
  • Strong microbiology background (bioburden, endotoxin, EM, aseptic technique).
  • Good documentation, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Quality Control Microbiologist:

  • LIMS experience (LabWare is a plus).
  • Exposure to both microbiology and chemistry testing.
  • Experience with method transfer or validation activities.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field is required.
