Our client is a well-established and growing outpatient urgent care and diagnostic imaging organization known for delivering high-quality, patient-focused care. The organization emphasizes safety, teamwork, and efficient clinical operations in a fast-paced outpatient setting. They are now looking for a Radiologic Technologist.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$30/hr – $32/hr
Position Overview:
The Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic examinations in accordance with departmental protocols, safety guidelines, and physician orders. This role supports outpatient and urgent care imaging services while delivering high-quality patient care as a delegated agent of the physician under licensed supervision.
Responsibilities of the Radiologic Technologist:
- Operate assigned X-ray equipment safely and accurately.
- Prepare patients and examination areas for radiographic procedures.
- Produce diagnostic quality radiographs in compliance with departmental standards.
- Apply proper patient positioning and radiographic techniques.
- Provide relevant clinical information on imaging requests.
- Deliver basic patient care per department guidelines.
- Assist with emergency code situations per clinic policy.
- Demonstrate radiation safety practices and ALARA principles.
- Exercise independent, ethical, and professional judgment.
- Function as a delegated agent of the physician under licensed supervision.
- Administer first aid and CPR as required.
Required Experience/Skills for the Radiologic Technologist:
- Demonstrated competency operating X-ray equipment.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and radiographic positioning.
- Understanding of radiation safety and image processing.
- Ability to assist distressed or physically limited patients.
- CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
- Competency in X-ray specialty procedures.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Radiologic Technologist:
- Experience in urgent care or outpatient imaging settings.
- Familiarity with fast-paced diagnostic environments.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- ARRT Certification required.
- Florida Licensed Radiologic Technologist.
- CPR Certification within 90 days of employment.
