Our client, a recognized law firm with offices across the United States and internationally, is seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join their dynamic Real Estate Department. Salary/Hourly Rate:

$38/hr – $41/hr

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Real Estate Paralegal with 5–10 years of experience to support a busy legal team, with a strong focus on land acquisition, development, and real estate transactions. The Real Estate Paralegal will play a critical role in managing projects from initial contract through closing and development, ensuring all documentation is accurate, compliant, and completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities of the Real Estate Paralegal:

  • Support attorneys in all phases of real estate and land development transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and development projects.
  • Prepare, review, and revise legal documents such as purchase agreements, development agreements, easements, leases, and closing documents.
  • Assist with land acquisition and development due diligence, including zoning, land use, and entitlement-related documentation.
  • Review title commitments, surveys, plats, and site plans; identify and help resolve title and survey issues.
  • Order and review lien searches, zoning reports, and municipal records related to development projects.
  • Coordinate and manage closings, including scheduling, document execution, and communication with developers, municipalities, lenders, and other stakeholders.
  • Track key development milestones, deadlines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare closing binders and ensure proper recording of deeds and related documents.
  • Maintain organized files for multiple active development and real estate projects.
  • Communicate with clients, brokers, engineers, and government agencies to facilitate project progress.

Required Experience/Skills for the Real Estate Paralegal:

  • 5–10 years of experience as a Real Estate Paralegal, with exposure to land and development projects.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate transactions, title review, and closing processes.
  • Experience supporting land acquisition, zoning, and development-related due diligence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with legal or document management systems preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Real Estate Paralegal:

  • Experience working with developers, municipalities, and land use attorneys.
  • Familiarity with zoning regulations, permitting processes, and entitlement procedures.
  • Experience with commercial real estate development projects.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively manage workload.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
