Client Overview:

A large, established real estate organization is seeking a detail-oriented Residential Legal Representative to join their Lease Enforcement team in LeFrak City, Queens. This role is ideal for someone interested in legal operations, housing court procedures, and real estate compliance within a fast-paced, tenant-facing environment.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$24/hr

Position Overview:

The Residential Legal Representative will support lease enforcement and housing court matters, acting as a liaison between tenants, property management, and legal counsel. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple legal processes simultaneously. Candidates must be comfortable working fully onsite in LeFrak City, Queens and attending court as needed.

Responsibilities of the Residential Legal Representative:

  • Respond to tenant inquiries and assist with rent-related matters.
  • Review arrears reports and initiate appropriate legal actions.
  • Coordinate eviction processes, including scheduling marshals and logistics.
  • Track court cases, stipulations, warrants, and key legal deadlines.
  • Communicate regularly with outside legal counsel regarding housing court matters.
  • Prepare case files and represent ownership in Housing or Small Claims Court.
  • Maintain accurate records and updates within internal systems (Yardi or similar).
  • Notify property management of violations, repairs, and compliance issues tied to cases.
  • Monitor adherence to court agreements and payment plans.
  • Assist with legal documentation, audits, and reporting.
  • Support notarization of documents as needed.

Required Experience/Skills for the Residential Legal Representative:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook).
  • Comfortable working fully onsite in LeFrak City, Queens and attending court regularly.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Residential Legal Representative:

  • Experience in real estate, property management, or legal support roles.
  • Familiarity with housing court procedures or lease enforcement.
  • Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management systems.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
