Our client, a large, well-established real estate organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Residential Legal Representative to join their Lease Enforcement team based in LeFrak City, Queens. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background or interest in real estate, legal operations, or property management, especially candidates with bookkeeping or accounting-related experience.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$24/hr
Position Overview:
The Residential Legal Representative will support lease enforcement and housing court-related processes while working closely with property management, tenants, and legal teams. This role combines administrative, legal, and bookkeeping functions, making it ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented and comfortable working with financial data, tenant accounts, and legal documentation. Candidates must be comfortable working fully onsite in LeFrak City, Queens.
Responsibilities of the Residential Legal Representative:
- Process rent payments and manage tenant account activity related to legal cases.
- Review arrears reports and initiate lease enforcement actions.
- Coordinate evictions, including scheduling marshals and movers.
- Track court cases, stipulations, warrants, and legal deadlines.
- Communicate regularly with attorneys and internal teams regarding case updates.
- Prepare audits and financial documentation for court and tenant requests.
- Maintain and update records in Yardi or similar systems.
- Respond to tenant inquiries and assist with documentation and verification forms.
- Monitor compliance with court agreements and follow up on outstanding items.
- Notify property management of violations, repairs, and case developments.
- Support additional administrative, legal, and operational tasks as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Residential Legal Representative:
- Experience or exposure to bookkeeping, accounting, or financial record-keeping.
- Interest or experience in real estate, property management, or legal environments.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
- Comfortable working fully onsite in LeFrak City, Queens.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Residential Legal Representative:
- Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management systems.
- Exposure to lease enforcement, housing court, or legal support functions.
- Background in real estate, compliance, or tenant relations.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
