Salary/Hourly Rate:
$90k – $120k
Position Overview:
This Senior Accountant role is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys owning core accounting functions while contributing to broader financial initiatives. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting close and reporting processes, and collaborating cross-functionally as part of a high-caliber Accounting team.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
- Owning key components of the month-end close process.
- Preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Supporting internal and external reporting, including audit requests.
- Assisting with process improvements as the business scales.
- Collaborating with FP&A, Operations, and Leadership.
- Ensuring accuracy, compliance, and consistency across financial records.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:
- 4 – 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally at the Senior Accountant level.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Hands-on experience with the month-end close and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:
- Experience as a Senior Accountant in a growth-oriented or complex environment.
- Exposure to audits (public accounting or industry).
- ERP system experience.
- Background supporting system implementations or process improvements.
- CPA or CPA-track experience (preferred, not required).
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
