Our client is a well-established and rapidly growing NJ-based organization that works directly in the funding and grants space within the NJ Government. They are looking for their next Senior Accounting Analyst. An individual with past accounting and financial analysis experience is a huge plus.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$40/hr – $45/hr
Position Overview:
The Senior Accounting Analyst will be responsible for senior accounting duties and will take on ad-hoc analysis and reporting responsibilities. Senior Accounting and advanced Excel experience are needed. The Senior Accounting Analyst will need to have the ability to work in a team setting. 5 – 10 years of experience in general accounting and financial analysis with advanced technical skills is a must. A background in analyzing and working within state grants and funding is a huge plus.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Analyst:
- Month-end reporting and closing.
- Senior-level financial analysis, including grants and funding.
- Assisting with the monthly reconciliation process.
- Supporting both general analysis/accounting.
- Ad-hoc financial analysis.
Required Experience/Skill for the Senior Accounting Analyst:
- Non-profit industry experience.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Prior exposure to a larger ERP system.
- High attention to detail.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accounting Analyst:
- Advanced Excel experience and Analysis skills are a plus.
- MS Access for analysis is a plus.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required.
