They are now looking for a Senior Accounting Manager.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$110k – $135k

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join a dynamic international distribution organization in Acworth, GA. This leadership role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, manage a team of seven, and directly supervise three team members. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment. This position is primarily onsite, with the flexibility to work one day per week in a hybrid capacity.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Manager:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Manage and develop a team of seven accounting professionals, with 3 direct reports
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
• Partner cross-functionally with leadership to provide financial insights and operational support
• Oversee international accounting considerations related to distribution operations
• Review and improve accounting processes, procedures, and systems for greater efficiency and accuracy
• Assist with audits, tax support, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Mentor staff, promote professional development, and help build a high-performing accounting team

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accounting Manager:

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
• Prior experience in a Senior Accounting Manager, Accounting Manager, or similar role
• Experience managing teams and supervising direct reports
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and month-end close processes
• Background in distribution, manufacturing, or product-based environments
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work onsite in Acworth 4 days per week

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accounting Manager:

• Experience in an international distribution environment
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• Experience with process improvement initiatives and internal controls
• Exposure to multi-entity or multi-location accounting
• Advanced ERP systems experience
• Proven ability to lead through growth and change

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• CPA or MBA preferred
