Client Overview:

Our client is a creative agency recognized for its innovative digital solutions. The organization partners with major brands to deliver engaging online experiences. They foster a collaborative environment focused on design excellence and rapid project delivery. They are currently looking to add a Senior UI/UX Designer (Freelance) to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate: 

$50/hr

Position Overview:

The Senior UI/UX Designer (Freelance) will work 20 – 25 hours per week ( ~ approx: 5 hours for check-ins (not on the same day but broken up during the week) + remaining hours can be worked after hours. They will be responsible for enhancing UI, UX, motion, and interactions for an existing WordPress website. The Senior UI/UX Designer (Freelance) will collaborate with the Creative Director to deliver mid- to high-fidelity prototypes and wireframes.

Responsibilities of the Senior UI/UX Designer (Freelance):

  • Execute rapid design iterations for a one-month freelance engagement starting in May.
  • Focus on digital and motion design for well-known brands.
  • Develop and refine UI/UX elements, motion, and interactive features.
  • Create wireframes and prototypes for website enhancements.
  • Work closely with the Creative Director to align design vision.
  • Apply e-commerce best practices to improve user experience.
  • Ensure designs are compatible with WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Present design solutions and iterate based on feedback.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior UI/UX Designer (Freelance):

  • Have a strong portfolio showcasing digital and motion work for major brands.
  • Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Ability to deliver rapid design iterations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior UI/UX Designer (Freelance):

  • Experience working in fast-paced, freelance environments.
  • Exposure to mid- to high-fidelity prototyping for web projects.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce best practices is preferred, not required.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is required.
  • Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
