Our client is a nationally recognized leader in their industry and is looking to add to their growing team. They are now looking for an Accountant.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$58k – $70k
Position Overview:
The Accountant plays a key role in supporting accounting functions across multiple locations. This position is responsible for overseeing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual accounting and financial activities. The Accountant will assist with the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reconciliations, and compliance oversight, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial reporting.
Responsibilities of the Accountant:
- Oversee month-end close, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
- Manage daily accounting operations, including transaction entry, cash flow monitoring, vendor payments, and customer billing and collections.
- Conduct financial analysis, investigate variances, and prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports for management review.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Collaborate across departments to improve financial procedures, maintain data integrity, and ensure efficient accounting operations across multiple locations.
Required Experience/Skills for the Accountant:
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with QuickBooks and/or Microsoft Dynamics accounting systems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accountant:
- Experience supporting multiple business units or locations.
- Familiarity with operational or facility-based accounting.
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
