Our client is a growing hospitality company in Coconut Grove (Miami) that is looking for a Accountant. This outstanding business is expanding rapidly and offers an excellent opportunity for junior-level candidates to grow organically with the organization and gain exposure to multiple accounting and finance functions.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$65k – $72k
Position Overview:
The Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and will be responsible for day-to-day accounting activities. This role also offers exposure to financial planning and analysis while working closely with leadership.
Responsibilities of the Accountant:
- Perform general accounting duties and daily accounting operations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare financial statements.
- Review general ledger accounts and prepare and post journal entries.
- Handle billing, invoicing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions.
- Perform account analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements.
- Post monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals.
Required Experience/Skills for the Accountant:
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accountant:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently with large data sets.
- Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
