Accounting Manager

Atrium is partnering with a large retail and hospitality company with locations throughout the US. They are headquartered in the Orlando area. Currently, they are looking to add an Accounting Manager to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$100k – $125k

Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager will oversee a team of accountants and be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations, with a particular focus on treasury, bank reconciliations, rent, cash flow analysis, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

• Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants.
• Oversee the company’s treasury functions, including cash management and investments.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of bank reconciliations for all company accounts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Implement and maintain controls to prevent errors and fraud.
• Oversee the accounting for leases and rental payments for all locations.
• Ensure compliance with lease agreements and timely payment of rent.
• Maintain accurate records of lease agreements and related financial transactions.
• Monitor and analyze the company’s cash flow position.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Provide timely and accurate financial reports to senior management.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounting Manager:

• Experience in the retail industry is highly desirable.
• Multi-entity experience is preferred.
• GAAP and IFRS reporting experience.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
