Our client, a NYC based construction firm is seeking a Accounts Payable Associate to join their team!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

Up to $80,000+ bonus

Position Overview:

As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. You will be responsible for processing and reconciling vendor invoices, ensuring timely payments, and assisting with various accounts payable tasks. The ideal Accounts Payable Associate candidate is organized, analytical, and possesses a strong understanding of accounts payable principles. Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Associate:

  • Process vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and other payment requests in an accurate and timely manner
  • Verify and reconcile invoice details, including purchase orders, pricing, quantities, and discounts
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with invoices and payments
  • Prepare and review payment batches for approval and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal teams to obtain necessary approvals for payments and resolve any payment-related queries
  • Manage vendor relationships and respond to inquiries related to accounts payable
  • Conduct periodic vendor statement reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of payables
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations
  • Assist in maintaining accounts payable records, documentation, and filing systems

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Associate:

  • Strong competency with Excel
  • Experience out of the construction sector

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
