Salary/Hourly Rate:
$80k – $120k
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join their Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing accounts payable processes within the construction industry. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and timely payments to our vendors and maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager:
- Oversee the accounts payable department, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Manage and mentor accounts payable staff, providing guidance and support.
- Develop and implement accounts payable policies and procedures.
- Review and approve invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and budgetary controls.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor relationships and handle any payment-related inquiries.
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Manager:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Manager:
- Previous experience in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with construction-related accounting systems and processes.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
