Our client is a well-established real estate firm based in West Palm Beach, known for its long-standing presence in the market and its commitment to delivering quality property management and development services across South Florida. Their team is now looking for a Accounts Payable Specialist.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$55k – $65k

Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for handling the full cycle of accounts payable activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and reconciliations. This is a fully onsite position and offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative finance team in a dynamic and growing real estate environment.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • Process high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review and verify invoices and check requests.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and ensure proper approvals.
  • Prepare and perform check runs and ACH payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Maintain vendor files and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting related to payables.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding payment status.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • Prior experience in the real estate or property management industry.
  • Familiarity with Yardi, MRI, or similar real estate accounting software.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
