Known for their hands-on approach and commitment to excellence, they are seeking a reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$60k – $70k
Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage the full cycle AP process, supporting vendor management, invoice processing, and payment execution. This is a fully onsite position and a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within a fast-paced, project-based environment.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- The Accounts Payable Specialist will process and code high-volume vendor invoices related to construction projects.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and verify approvals.
- Prepare check runs and electronic payments (ACH/Wire).
- The Accounts Payable Specialist will maintain accurate vendor files and payment records.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Communicate with vendors and project managers regarding payment status.
- The Accounts Payable Specialist will assist with month-end AP reporting and support the accounting team as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- 2+ years of accounts payable experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Solid communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Experience in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with project accounting or construction software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, Foundation).
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
