Position Overview:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing invoices, reconciling expenses, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely vendor payments. This role supports month-end closing, audits, and cross-department collaboration while requiring strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in accounting systems.

Responsibilities of Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • Process and manage accounts payable invoices and payments.
  • Verify and reconcile invoices and expense reports.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure proper documentation.
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and inquiries.
  • Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate payment processing.
  • Support internal audits and provide necessary documentation.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or similar role.
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
