Our client is one of the largest and most successful construction and engineering companies in New Jersey, with over 40 years of industry experience and ongoing expansion across multiple states. They are now looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager to join their growing finance team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$90k – $125k

Position Overview:


The Accounts Receivable Manager will oversee the accounts receivable function with a strong focus on AIA billing. This role will manage invoicing, collections, and cash application while partnering closely with the Controller and CFO to drive process improvements and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Manager:

  • Oversee the accounts receivable department to ensure efficient processing of AIA billing.
  • Manage invoicing, collections, and cash application processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure timely payments and resolve billing issues.
  • Prepare and analyze accounts receivable reports, including aging and collection forecasts.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency.
  • Train and mentor accounts receivable staff to foster a high-performing team environment.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Receivable Manager:

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounts receivable management experience.
  • Expertise in AIA billing is required.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounts Receivable Manager:

  • Experience in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
