Client Overview:
Our client, a growing B2B services company known for its strong client relationships and fast-paced, team-oriented work environment, is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$27/hr – $32/hr (Depending on experience)
Position Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and cash applications. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable interacting with internal teams and external clients to ensure timely and accurate payments.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- Generate and issue customer invoices per contract terms.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on past due accounts to ensure timely collections.
- Apply customer payments (checks, ACH, wires) accurately to appropriate invoices.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies and unapplied cash.
- Prepare and distribute A/R reports to management regularly.
- Maintain updated customer records and document collection activities.
- Support the month-end close by reconciling the accounts receivable subledger to the general ledger.
- Assist with credit checks, account setups, and audit requests as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
- 2+ years of full-cycle accounts receivable experience.
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- High level of accuracy, organization, and time management.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Equivalent experience is considered.
