They are currently seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to support their dynamic Accounting team. Salary/Hourly Rate:

$27/hr – $33/hr

Position Overview:

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will manage high-volume receivables and play a vital role in the company’s financial operations. From invoice generation to payment reconciliation, you’ll help ensure timely cash flow and accurate account management. This position offers excellent exposure to real estate finance and the opportunity to grow within a well-established Manhattan firm.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

  • Process incoming payments (checks, wires, ACH) and apply them to the appropriate accounts.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Generate and send invoices and monthly statements.
  • Monitor aging reports and assist with collections follow-up.
  • Prepare A/R reports and assist with monthly close activities.
  • Maintain clean and accurate customer account data.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team on special projects as needed.

Required Experience/Skills for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

  • 4+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable or similar accounting roles.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data sorting).
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable working with large volumes and tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a professional office setting.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

  • Experience in real estate or financial services is a plus.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
