Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25/hr – $30/hr Depending on experience
Position Overview:
The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in supporting attorneys and legal staff by managing scheduling, preparing documents, and assisting with client communications. The ideal Administrative Assistant will be highly organized, professional, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a confidential setting. This is a great opportunity for an Administrative Assistant who is looking to grow within the legal field and support a high-functioning team.
Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, including document preparation and scheduling.
- Manage calendars, coordinate internal meetings, and reserve conference rooms.
- Assist with intake and filing of client records and legal documents.
- Answer phone calls, greet visitors, and maintain a professional reception area.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and court correspondences.
- Maintain and update databases, case files, and internal tracking systems.
- Support billing, expense reports, and invoice processing as needed.
- Prepare materials for client meetings and legal proceedings.
- Serve as a reliable Administrative Assistant to multiple team members across departments.
Required Experience/Skills for the Administrative Assistant:
- 1 – 3 years of experience in an Administrative Assistant or legal support role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and time management abilities.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Administrative Assistant:
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal department.
- Familiarity with legal case management or billing systems.
- Comfortable working in a structured, deadline-driven office environment.
- Interest in developing a career in legal administration or operations.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
