Our client is a large wholesale organization that is family-run in the heart of Mercer County. They are currently expanding their team and looking to add an Administrative Assistant to their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$45k – $55k
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an Administrative Assistant to help with administrative tasks, communication, data entry, and overall customer support.
Responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant:
- Excel Data Management: Input, update, and maintain data in Excel spreadsheets accurately and efficiently.
- Data Analysis: Assist in basic data analysis and generate reports using Excel functions such as sorting, filtering, and basic formulas (v-lookup and pivot tables).
- Document Preparation: Create and format documents, including letters, memos, and presentations, ensuring they are professional and error-free.
- Filing and Organization: Maintain physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring documents are organized and easily accessible.
- Communication: Respond to emails and phone calls professionally, providing information and assistance as needed.
- Meeting Support: Schedule and coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items.
- General Administrative Tasks: Assist with various administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and ordering office supplies.
Required Experience/Skills for the Administrative Assistant:
- Experience: No prior experience necessary, but previous administrative or office experience is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) is advantageous.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Administrative Assistant:
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
