Our client is looking for a Affirmative Action Representative to join their team for at least 6 months. This position will assist with implementing and monitoring their Affirmative Action Program.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$30 – $40/hr DOE

Position Overview:

The Affirmative Action Representative must have previous experience of at least two years in an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action environment. Ideal candidates will have experience investigating and resolving complaints arising from statutes. The Affirmative Action Representative must have experience writing investigative reports for decisions and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities of the Affirmative Action Representative:

  • Participate in the development, execution, and assessment of the company’s Affirmative Action Program, ensuring alignment with regulations set by federal agencies
  • Evaluate employment data, maintaining integrity to support decisions related to hiring, promotions, training, disciplines, and terminations
  • Craft employee practice reports via Excel, encompassing workforce reports, which reflect EEO data for state and federal tracking purposes
  • Analyze employment practice data to identify any potential disadvantageous impact on a protected category
  • Manage the department’s document library, ensuring availability and accuracy of all forms and templates for staff use throughout the EEO internal investigation process
  • Collaborate closely with Human Resources and other internal teams, ensuring all employment practices adhere to guidelines
  • Act as delegate for all hiring and promotional approvals
  • Represent the Office of EEO/AA in external outreach activities
  • Organize, monitor, and advise on internal training processes for employees, coordinating both automated and in-person sessions as appropriate
  • Conduct orientation for new hires in conjunction with the Candidate Experience team, focusing on non-discrimination policies
  • Oversee and manage internal site visits, in liaison with the EEO/AA Coordinator, and EEO/AA Investigators
  • Provide guidance and training to the EEO/AA Coordinator in the EEO intake process
  • Assist the Senior Director, EEO/AA Compliance and Training, in ensuring all externals receiving federal funds through us, comply with federal EEO Program rules
  • Visit company sites and deliver training and presentations on EEO policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Perform other duties as specified

Qualifications for the Affirmative Action Representative:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action setup
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required
  • Any previous corporate training and HR experience are beneficial

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, Business Administration, or a similar field is required
