Client Overview:
Our client is a property management company dedicated to the development of affordable housing and supportive programs, they work to enhance residents’ economic stability, revitalize neighborhoods, and provide a foundation for lasting change. Their team is now looking for a Assistant Property Manager.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25/hr – $28/hr
Position Overview:
The Assistant Property Manager supports the day-to-day operations of one or more affordable housing communities. This role works closely with the Property Manager to ensure high-quality service to residents, maintain regulatory compliance, support rent collection and leasing, and contribute to a welcoming and supportive housing environment.
Responsibilities of the Assistant Property Manager:
- Enter data in resident accounts receivable ledgers.
- Assist with resident records documentation including recertifications
- Collect rent and other income, make bank deposits, and forward receipts.
- Assist with the leasing process from initial application to move-in.
- Respond to customer services requests.
- Work outside normal business hours to respond to the needs of the property.
Required Experience/Skills for the Assistant Property Manager:
- 1+ year of administrative, office, accounting, or customer service experience.
- Must have property management work experience and knowledge of applicable local and federal housing laws.
- Knowledge of real estate property management applications.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Assistant Property Manager:
- Experience with recertifications.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
