Our client is a financial services organization focused on secure, innovative technology solutions with a strong commitment to work-life balance and career development. Their team is now looking for an Azure Cloud Security Architect.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$100k – $125k

Position Overview:

The Azure Cloud Security Architect will design and secure cloud environments, applications, and data platforms. This role ensures compliance with financial regulations while embedding security best practices into cloud and DevOps initiatives.

Responsibilities of the Azure Cloud Security Architect:

  • Design and deploy secure Azure cloud solutions and data environments.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and compliance standards.
  • Oversee risk assessments, vulnerability management, and threat modeling.
  • Implement Zero Trust, IAM, encryption, and security monitoring tools.
  • Support DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline security.
  • Respond to security incidents and provide technical guidance to teams.

Required Experience/Skills for the Azure Cloud Security Architect:

  • 7+ years in cloud security/architecture, including 3+ years focused on Azure.
  • 4+ years with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
  • Strong scripting in Python, SQL, KQL, PowerShell.
  • Experience with Azure security services and compliance frameworks.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Azure Cloud Security Architect:

  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Kubernetes/AKS, and hybrid/multi-cloud.
  • Certifications such as AZ-500, CISSP, CCSP, or CISM preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
