Our client is a global market leader specializing in premium, tailor-made products for the travel and lifestyle sector. They are now looking for a Bag Designer.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$80k – $100k
Position Overview:
The Bag Designer will develop high-quality products from concept through production, working closely with global brand partners. This role involves translating brand identity into compelling design solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of creative processes.
Responsibilities of the Bag Designer:
- Manage design projects from initial concept to final production.
- Research and interpret brand DNA into thoughtful design concepts.
- Support and mentor junior designers to ensure high-quality output.
- Prepare detailed specification sheets for sampling and production.
- Lead or assist in photography shoots to ensure creative alignment.
- Create visuals, artwork, and supporting materials for product presentations.
- Collaborate regularly with internal teams to meet client requirements.
- Contribute to improving systems, workflows, and creative processes.
- Provide consistent updates to senior creative leadership.
Required Experience/Skills for the Bag Designer:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, Packaging Design, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional design experience.
- Strong understanding of product construction, materials, costing, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Bag Designer:
- Experience designing bags, pouches, or accessories.
- Background working with global consumer, beauty, luxury, or lifestyle brands.
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Design-related field preferred).
