Salary/Hourly Rate:
$75k – $85k
Position Overview:
The Business Operations Manager must be proactive and results-driven to oversee and optimize all operational functions at our Waycross, GA branch. This role is ideal for a strategic operations leader with a strong background in the construction supply or building materials industry. The successful candidate will drive branch efficiency, financial performance, team leadership, and operational excellence, ensuring a seamless connection between sales, customer service, inventory management, and logistics.
Responsibilities of the Business Operations Manager:
- Lead end-to-end branch operations, including sales support, customer service, inventory control, and logistics management.
- Manage P&L responsibilities and drive branch-level financial outcomes.
- Supervise and develop a team of 12–14 employees, including counter sales, warehouse personnel, and administrative staff.
- Ensure inventory accuracy, timely order fulfillment, and efficient shipping/receiving processes.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer-centric service.
- Complete initial training at a nearby branch during the onboarding period.
- Identify and implement operational improvements to increase efficiency and performance.
Required Experience/Skills for the Business Operations Manager:
- 10 – 12 years in branch, operations, or general management roles.
- Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and operational initiatives.
- Demonstrated P&L management and financial accountability.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Experience in distribution, construction supply, or related industries.
- Familiarity with sales counter and warehouse operations.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Business Operations Manager:
- Technical knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or general contracting materials.
- Experience recruiting, training, and developing high-performing teams.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or comparable systems.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field preferred.
