Salary/Hourly Rate:
$17 – $18/hr
Position Overview:
They are currently looking for a committed and organized individual to join our team in a temporary role as a Clerical Assistant. This Clerical Assistant position is an excellent opportunity to gain experience and exposure within a thriving organization.
Responsibilities of the Clerical Assistant:
- Perform general office duties such as drafting correspondence, filing, and creating reports
- Maintain office records, documents, and policies, ensuring they’re current and accurate
- Answer incoming calls, transferring calls, and taking messages as necessary
- Assist with arranging meetings, taking meeting minutes, and maintaining the accurate calendar of events
- Provide administrative support to various departments
- Operate office equipment like printers, photocopiers, fax machines, etc.
Qualifications for the Clerical Assistant:
- Prior experience in a clerical role will be considered an asset
- Solid understanding of office procedures
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Detail-oriented and exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Associates degree is preferred
