Client Overview:
Our client, a nonprofit organization, is looking to add interim help and support to their team during a pivotal time of year. They are now seeking a Client Support Representative.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$17/hr – $20/hr
Position Overview:
The Client Support Representative / Bilingual (Spanish) Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and community partners. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment while ensuring accurate information intake, secure facility access, and effective referrals to internal programs and external community resources. The ideal candidate is bilingual, organized, personable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-focused setting.
Responsibilities of the Client Support Representative:
- Answer and manage the organization’s main phone line, take accurate messages, and route calls appropriately.
- Conduct initial screenings for individuals seeking assistance and refer them to appropriate programs or departments.
- Provide information on alternative community resources when individuals do not qualify for internal services.
- Offer a warm, professional greeting to all visitors entering the facility.
- Maintain a secure front desk environment and ensure only authorized individuals access restricted areas.
- Assist donors by helping unload donations and ensuring donor forms are completed and distributed properly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming lobby area.
- Maintain accurate attendance and authorization logs as required.
- Collect and provide data needed for reporting purposes within designated timelines.
- Support documentation and record-keeping in compliance with agency standards.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned by management.
- Participate in scheduled check-ins, staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
Required Experience/Skills for the Client Support Representative:
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) and Spanish (verbal).
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliability, flexibility, and professionalism.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Client Support Representative:
- Prior experience in a receptionist, administrative, or client-facing role.
- Familiarity with community-based resources and social service agencies.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
