We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Collections Specialist to join their local team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$20/hr – $23/hr
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B collections, preferably within the construction or manufacturing sector. Familiarity with QuickBooks is essential for this role. The Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities of the Collections Specialist:
- Manage and collect outstanding accounts receivable.
- Contact customers via phone, email, and mail to follow up on overdue invoices.
- Negotiate payment plans and resolve billing issues.
- Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer communications.
- Prepare and analyze aging reports to identify delinquent accounts.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve customer disputes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a positive relationship with clients.
Required Experience/Skills for the Collections Specialist:
- Proven experience in B2B collections.
- Background in the construction or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Collections Specialist:
- Experience with other accounting software.
- Knowledge of industry-specific billing and collection practices.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
