Client Overview:
Our cient is a well-established nonprofit organization devoted to empowering displaced individuals through comprehensive support services. The organization promotes self-reliance and stability for newcomers through compassionate, client-centered programming. They are now looking for a Community Integration Case Specialist to join their team!
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25/hr – $27/hr
Position Overview:
The Community Integration Case Specialist will assist refugees and immigrants in successfully adjusting to their new environment by helping them navigate essential services and create plans for long-term independence. This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration with remote case management responsibilities. The ideal Community Integration Case Specialist is someone who thrives in a dynamic, mission-oriented environment and brings cultural sensitivity, initiative, and strong communication skills to the table.
Responsibilities of the Community Integration Case Specialist:
- Facilitate client arrivals by coordinating key resources such as housing, food, health services, and transportation to ensure immediate stability.
- Conduct needs assessments and co-create achievable goals with clients to promote independence.
- Offer hands-on guidance and connect clients with community resources tailored to their specific circumstances.
- Regularly evaluate client progress and provide support to overcome obstacles or adjust plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions and services in relevant databases and systems.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver well-rounded support.
- Travel locally as needed to meet with clients, attend appointments, or deliver supplies.
- Provide direction or support to volunteers and interns involved in client services.
- Take on additional projects or tasks to support team success as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Community Integration Case Specialist:
- Minimum of two years working in social services, case management, or community outreach roles.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a client-first mindset.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite and other digital tools for communication and record-keeping.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Community Integration Case Specialist:
- Direct experience supporting refugee or immigrant communities.
- Familiarity with Dari, Farsi, or Pashto is highly desirable.
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven settings.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related discipline preferred.
