Our client is a high performing executive search firm that works with investment firms, corporations, and other organizations to help them identify senior talent. Their team is now looking for a Contract Manager. They focus on long-term partnerships, advising clients on leadership, strategy, and organizational growth. The office is 3 days onsite (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays).

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$85k – $125K

Position Overview:

The Contract Manager will play a key role in overseeing the firm’s contract processes and supporting legal, compliance, and operational priorities. Working closely with internal teams and external advisors, the Contract Manager will help manage client agreements, maintain governance standards, and contribute to broader business initiatives. The role reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Responsibilities of the Contract Manager:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate client, vendor, and employment contracts while ensuring alignment with the firm’s commercial framework.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of agreements from initial drafting through execution, including tracking renewals, off-limits, and termination provisions.
  • Build and maintain tools and reporting systems to monitor contract terms and provide insights for leadership meetings.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues on contract-related questions, creating guidance and training to support consistent practices across the business.
  • Regularly update and refine contract templates to balance commercial flexibility with risk management.
  • Coordinate with outside counsel and maintain relationships with legal advisors to support decision-making.
  • Provide support on legal and compliance matters, including insurance, regulatory requirements, data protection, and governance.

Required Experience/Skills for the Contract Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; legal training (JD, LLB, or paralegal experience) preferred.
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in legal, operations, or client-facing roles, ideally within professional services.
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and senior stakeholders in a clear, professional manner.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Contract Manager:

  • Desire to grow into business operations and analytics.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; legal training (JD, LLB, or paralegal experience) preferred.
