Our client is a growing, privately held organization that is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join their team and contribute to their continued success. Salary/Hourly Rate:
$120k – $130k
Position Overview:
The Controller will oversee financial activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. The Controller will work closely with the Executive team to provide strategic financial insights, maintain financial stability, and drive the company’s growth.
Responsibilities of the Controller:
- The Controller will maintain ownership of the entire P&L.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis.
- Implement and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- The Controller will conduct a thorough financial analysis to provide insights into the company’s performance and profitability.
- Develop key financial metrics and KPIs to support data-driven decision-making.
- The Controller will identify trends, opportunities, and risks to guide strategic financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and financial reporting standards.
- The Controller will prepare and file accurate tax returns and financial reports promptly.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and reviews.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze cash flow projections and report variances to senior management.
Required Experience/Skills for the Controller:
- 10+ years of progressive experience.
- Experience managing and leading a team.
- Strong Excel skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Controller:
- CPA is preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
