Salary/Hourly Rate:
$85k Annually
Position Overview:
The Controller (Part-Time) will perform full-cycle accounting duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations. They will maintain accurate financial records and support month-end and year-end close processes. The Controller (Part-Time) will ensure compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities of the Controller (Part-Time):
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Manage payroll and employee expense reports.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain documentation for audits and compliance.
- Support financial reporting and analysis.
- Communicate with internal teams regarding accounting matters.
- Ensure adherence to healthcare industry standards and regulations.
- Recommend process improvements for efficiency.
Required Experience/Skills for the Controller (Part-Time):
- 3+ years in accounting or controller roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a stand-alone role.
- Knowledge of healthcare industry accounting practices.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Controller (Part-Time):
- Experience in healthcare or manufacturing is preferred.
- 5 – 10+ years of general accounting experience.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
