Client Overview:
Our client is a large-scale and rapidly growing organization in the healthcare and industrial safety solutions industry that is looking to add a Credit and Collections Specialist to help grow their Accounting team. They are seeking candidates with a background of 2 – 4 years of applicable experience and who are analytically driven.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$27/hr – $28/hr
Position Overview:
The Credit and Collections Specialist will be responsible for managing and collecting all the outstanding accounts receivable from clients and customers. The Credit and Collections Specialist may also be responsible for other aspects of collections, such as analyzing and assessing the creditworthiness of accounts and clients utilizing credit risk management tools. The Credit and Collections Specialist will research account disputes and billing discrepancies while responding to credit inquiries from internal and external clients.
Responsibilities of the Credit and Collections Specialist:
- Assisting customers with inquiries.
- Reconciling customer accounts as needed.
- Creating and maintaining credit history files.
- Identifying delinquent accounts requiring external collection efforts.
- Supporting the collection efforts and calls for the accounts receivable portfolio.
- Forecasting cash collection and reporting to management on AR status.
Required Experience/Skills for the Credit and Collections Specialist:
- A minimum of 2 years of credit and collection experience is required.
- Intermediate Excel skills (including Pivot tables and V-Lookups).
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Possess effective communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and strong work ethic.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Credit and Collections Specialist:
- Advanced experience with Excel.
- Oracle experience.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a Finance-related field is a plus, but not required.
