Director of Financial Planning and Analysis

Atrium is partnering with a large restaurant and hospitality company headquartered in Orlando, FL. Our client has more than 100 locations throughout the US, and they are continuing to grow and expand their footprint. Currently, they are looking to add a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$145k – $180k

Position Overview:

The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will facilitate financial and analytical assistance to senior management. The job entails preparing accurate and timely financial analysis, producing reporting and decision-making analytical tools for the evaluation of operations, enhancements, purchasing initiatives, marketing campaigns, and investment returns.

Responsibilities of the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Assist in the creation of the annual budget and quarterly financial forecasts using established projection models and developing new tools for improved planning processes.
• Collaborate with the Operations team to collect data and provide forecast input on sales, payroll, controllable costs, advertising, and fixed expenses.
• Oversee the preparation and distribution of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
• Provide general business and financial insights to the company and Operations Management in identifying profit enhancement opportunities and interpreting financial results.
• Aid in the creation of financial and operational tools for decision-making purposes across operations, purchasing, marketing, and/or development.
• Evaluate the projected financial performance of alternative options through detailed analyses.
• Carry out quantitative and qualitative analyses to assess potential brand opportunities.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of raw data used in reporting, analysis, and planning in collaboration with other corporate departments.
• Participate in special projects as required.

Required Experience/Skills for the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Familiarity with Microsoft Access and database applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Understanding of accounting principles and budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• 3 – 6 years of relevant work experience in financial and/or operational analysis.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis:

• CPA or CMA is preferred.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field is required.
• Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is preferred.
