Each year, their client engages thousands of community members to contribute, volunteer, and participate in programs that generate nearly $60 million in support, driving a powerful and lasting impact in the communities they serve. Currently, they are looking to add an Event Planner to their team.

Position Overview:

Our client is seeking an Event Planner to plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of fundraising and engagement events that advance the organization’s mission, vision, and core values. The Event Planner is responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives. The Event Planner will lead an interdisciplinary team of staff, vendors, volunteers, and other stakeholders, collaborating closely with the Director of Event Services to deliver high-quality, impactful events.

Responsibilities of the Seasonal Event Planner:

  • Manage, plan, and execute a portfolio of events assigned by the Director, Event Services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Collaborate with lead staff, Marketing, and Events teams to develop comprehensive event strategies, demonstrating strong leadership and decision-making.
  • Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring accuracy, approval, and adherence to financial plans.
  • Research and provide recommendations for event logistics, including speakers, venues, catering, set-up, décor, entertainment, audiovisual, and virtual production needs.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts with the Director, Event Services, ensuring favorable terms and compliance.
  • Coordinate travel, accommodations, meals, and onsite requirements for speakers to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Director, Event Services, demonstrating leadership, initiative, and adaptability.

Required Experience/Skills for the Event Planner:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in fundraising events and event management, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills.
  • Strong proficiency with office computing, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), Zoom, and basic database management.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Event Planner:

  • Available to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.

Education Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
