Our client is a well-established international distribution company headquartered in Monmouth County, NJ. With a strong global footprint and a commitment to operational excellence, the organization continues to expand its reach while modernizing its financial infrastructure. They are currently looking to add a Financial Reporting Manager to their team.  This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Reporting Manager to join a collaborative and high-performing finance team during a period of strategic growth and transformation.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$120k – $145k plus Bonus and Comprehensive benefits

Position Overview:

The Financial Reporting Manager will play a key role in leading the preparation, analysis, and presentation of consolidated financial statements for multiple divisions across the company. Reporting directly to the Assistant Controller and working closely with the Controller and CFO, this individual will be instrumental in optimizing reporting processes, enhancing internal controls, and supporting strategic initiatives aimed at improving financial transparency and efficiency. The ideal Financial Reporting Manager is a hands-on professional who thrives in a dynamic, evolving environment and is comfortable collaborating across global business units.

Responsibilities of the Financial Reporting Manager:

  • Prepare, review, and analyze consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
  • Partner with divisional finance teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of reporting deliverables.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly close processes, including variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Assist in developing and implementing improved accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Controller and CFO to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and support audit requirements.
  • Drive ERP reporting optimization and contribute to process automation initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide junior accounting staff to ensure continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Required Experience/Skills for the Financial Reporting Manager:

  • 5+ years of progressive financial reporting and accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and consolidation principles.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Financial Reporting Manager:

  • Experience within a global or multi-entity distribution, manufacturing, or logistics organization.
  • Public accounting foundation or Big 4 experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to process improvement, systems implementation, or reporting automation projects.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • CPA or progress toward CPA is strongly preferred.
