Our client is a leading Boston-based financial firm known for innovative investment strategies and clear, client-focused communications. They are looking to add a Financial Writer (Investment Content) to their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50/hr – $60/hr

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Financial Writer (Investment Content) to create and edit short-form content – headlines, emails, banners, and social posts – that simplifies complex financial topics. This role requires strong editorial skills, investment fluency, and the ability to produce compliant, engaging content across channels. This is a contract position with full-time hours expected to last several months. There is strong potential for conversion to permanent for the right candidate.

Responsibilities of the Financial Writer (Investment Content):

  • Write and edit marketing content tailored for financial audiences.
  • Ensure content meets brand and compliance standards.
  • Simplify complex financial topics for various formats.
  • Collaborate with marketing, legal, and investment teams.
  • Maintain editorial style and voice consistency.
  • Manage multiple deadlines with accuracy.

Required Experience/Skills for the Financial Writer (Investment Content):

  • 5+ years as a Financial Writer or editor in finance.
  • Strong understanding of investment language and compliance.
  • Excellent short-form writing and editing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; detail-oriented under pressure.

Preferred Skills for the Financial Writer (Investment Content):

  • Background in asset management or financial publishing.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and workflow tools.
  • AP style expertise and strong content portfolio.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Finance, or a related field is required.
