Client Overview:
Our client is a leading children’s apparel manufacturing company known for their commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability. They are looking for a Freelance Inventory Manager to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$30 – $35/hr
Position Overview:
The Freelance Inventory Manager will be responsible for overseeing inventory across multiple locations and our e-commerce platform. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel, and experience managing inventory in the fashion industry. This Freelance Inventory Manager position reports directly to the VP of Purchasing.
Responsibilities of the Freelance Inventory Manager:
- Retail Store Replenishments: Run weekly reports for each retail location and replenish inventory accordingly.
- Basics Program Purchasing: Monitor warehouse inventory levels and place purchase orders (POs) with overseas factories as needed.
- Warehouse Receiving: Ensure accurate warehouse receiving processes and troubleshoot any discrepancies.
- Retail Store Receiving: Communicate with store teams regarding shortages and update correct quantities in the system.
- Logistics Coordination: Schedule and communicate with trucking companies for all inbound deliveries to the warehouse and retail stores.
- System Oversight: Oversee inventory management systems, ensuring accuracy in stock levels and replenishment analytics.
Required Experience/Skills for the Freelance Inventory Manager:
- Minimum 4+ years of experience replenishing inventory in multiple stores.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (candidates will be required to complete an Excel assessment after the first interview).
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and responsiveness.
- Ability to manage and troubleshoot inventory discrepancies efficiently.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
