They are seeking a Freelance Women’s Swimwear Designer!

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$30/hr – $35/hr

Position Overview:

The Freelance Women’s Swimwear Designer must be a talented and creative. The successful candidate will focus on developing seasonal swimwear collections, contributing to all phases of the design process from concept to production. The ideal candidate must have 2 – 4 years of experience in women’s swimwear design, a strong eye for trends, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and CAD.

Responsibilities of the Freelance Women’s Swimwear Designer:

  • Design and develop innovative swimwear collections for women based on seasonal trend direction.
  • Create technical sketches, CADs, and presentation boards using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Source fabrics, trims, and hardware aligned with design vision and cost parameters.
  • Collaborate closely with technical design, production, and merchandising teams to ensure feasibility and timely delivery.
  • Participate in fittings, sample reviews, and revisions to finalize product execution.
  • Support in creating line sheets and assisting during seasonal presentations or showroom meetings.

Required Experience/Skills for the Freelance Women’s Swimwear Designer:

  • 2 – 4 years of experience in women’s swimwear or intimates design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and CAD design.
  • Strong knowledge of swimwear construction, fabrication, and fit.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Freelance Women’s Swimwear Designer:

  • Experience working with overseas factories and vendors.
  • Familiarity with PLM systems.
  • Trend forecasting or market research experience.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design.
