Our client, an expanding Fund Administration Firm located in Middlesex County, NJ, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fund Manager to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$120k – $140k

Position Overview:

The Fund Manager will manage and oversee client engagements to ensure effective communication and execution of tasks, while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction, among other duties. The ideal candidate for the Fund Manager role will have 7 – 10 years of experience in fund management, with a strong background in client engagement and a proven track record of successfully leading a team.

Responsibilities of the Fund Manager:

  • Lead and develop a team of professionals to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to team members to foster professional growth.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of workpapers and financials to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Demonstrate a high level of fund accounting knowledge, including the ability to navigate and understand complex waterfall structures.
  • Collaborate with the Finance and Accounting teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting of fund performance.
  • Lead clients through multiple year-end audits, ensuring all processes are executed efficiently and accurately.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to address any audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and ensure compliance across all aspects of fund management.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of private equity and fund administration operations in managing client engagements.
  • Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement industry best practices to enhance fund performance and efficiency.
  • Participate in non-client-related activities, such as assisting with year-end evaluations, annual SOC review, and vendor and client demos.
  • Actively contribute to the development of new products and services, ensuring they align with industry trends and client needs.

Required Experience/Skills for the Fund Manager:

  • 5+ years of management experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in Private Equity funds, Venture Capital funds, Real Estate funds, Credit funds, or Infrastructure funds in financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds, credit funds, or Infrastructure funds, and financial service reporting requirements.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Fund Manager:

  • Investran experience.
  • Power BI experience.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
