Our client is a commercial real estate firm and they are seeking a General Manager – Property Management for mixed-use properties.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$120k – $150k plus Bonus

Position Overview:

The General Manager – Property Management is needed to provide leadership, direction, and support to a property operations team to facilitate the effective management of a large urban mixed-use development and deliver superior customer service. This role will work collaboratively to develop the long-term strategy, annual business plans, and operating budget.

Responsibilities of the General Manager – Property Management:

  • Conduct meetings and orientations
  • Review and provide feedback on retail and office annual survey
  • Recruit and select talent for any open positions
  • Conduct semi-annual performance reviews for all direct reports
  • Implement and maintain associate retention initiatives
  • Leverage vendor partnerships Monitor pricing in YieldStar daily
  • Create annual budget and staffing plans including business plan, and capital improvement plan
  • Update the 5-year Capital Improvement Plan
  • Monitor occupancy, leasing percent, pricing, renewals, other income and expenses
  • Review and approve monthly financial statement variances
  • Review bids from the Service Manager for vendors and negotiate pricing
  • Process building insurance claims
  • Approve all invoices and contracts

Qualifications for the General Manager – Property Management:

  • Senior-level property management experience is essential
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills necessary
  • Experience with Yardi, MRI, YieldStar, and LevelOne is preferred
  • Ability to interpret, evaluate, and communicate detailed written or verbal instructions
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 15 pounds

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
