Client Overview:

Our client, one of the largest vertically run ophthalmology administrative services organizations in the mid-Atlantic region, is seeking a Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their fast-paced office. 

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$25/hr – $30/hr 

Position Overview:

The Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified healthcare professionals to meet the organization’s staffing needs. This role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to sourcing and recruiting talent. The ideal candidate will have a background in healthcare recruitment and a proven track record of successfully filling various healthcare positions.

Responsibilities of the Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist:

  • Talent Sourcing: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and administrative staff.
  • Candidate Screening: Conduct thorough screenings and interviews to assess the qualifications, experience, and cultural fit of potential candidates.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers, department heads, and external recruitment agencies to ensure a smooth and efficient hiring process.
  • Job Posting and Advertising: Create compelling job descriptions and post job openings on various job boards, social media platforms, and professional networks to reach a wide pool of candidates.
  • Applicant Tracking: Utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) to manage and track candidate applications, ensuring timely updates and accurate record-keeping.
  • Networking: Attend healthcare industry events, job fairs, and conferences to network with potential candidates and stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Compliance: Ensure all recruitment activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Required Experience/Skills for the Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist:

  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in healthcare recruitment or talent acquisition.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare roles, credentials, and industry-specific requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Healthcare Talent Acquisition Specialist:

  • Certification in Healthcare Recruitment (CHCR) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification.
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is required.
